Notes
Show Details: OK.. I'm doing something weird here.. I'm including one song duplicated but cropped further. The Stop Making
Sense video includes a version of Cities (as an encore or a special feature depending on what version you have). GJ played
this song as the first song of their regular GJ set. For those that want a complete SMS section I am including a cropped
version of Cities at the end of the 2nd disc of SMS. I am also including the full uncut version as it was at the beginning of
the GJ set.
Now that I've said that.. frankly WOW. GJ spent SO much time preparing for this show and it showed.
11 musicians (GJ + Nick( GJ 1.0 ), Al Oikari (Wu), Aaron (WBPN), Mel Klocke (herself), Kari Marie (girlwithapiano),
Tom Collins (Squirms I/II producer)
3 Crew: Scotty Allen (FOH Sound), Cory (House Engineer/MON Sound), Wil Simon (Stage Crew)
Scotty and Tom switched off covering the duties of David Byrne.. we actually got some Royce singing with the Tom Tom Club
and even Wil lent his voice during Crosseyed & Painless. All the while our two resident hotties Mel and Kari lookin and
singing beautiful.
This was quite an evening.. Full Moon causing some weird drama as it does but all in all a fantastik time with great music
all night. HeatBox got the night going with an exellent set of his own then GJ *totally pulled off SMS in fine form followed
by a killer GJ-style GJ set.
This recording was brought together by myself (patching and honing in the SBD source) and Tom (bringing his AUD mix to the
table) which I have matrix'd together to give us that fuller sound. Mix done with ProTools 7.3 w/ a Digi002 Rack. SBD Source
kept at Unity w/ the AUD source brought in at -6.4dB. Enjoy!
